One trick frequently used is to define a dummy DNS server address or two
before the real server address. The Newton will then try to resolve the
host IP address by contacting the dummy DNS server(s). The connection
will be established and the first DNS server will time out. The Newton
tries the next DNS server (and so on) until it finally tries the real DNS
server. Hopefully, by this time, the connection has been established and
the real DNS server returns with the IP address and your Internet app
will succeed.

Give it a try.
