I know that the time I wait on Newton Web browsers is in the rendering. I know, because I tried downloading several pages at several speeds, and the download time is half a second or so, but it always took about 4-10 seconds to render the pages. In internet time, that is a long time. I really only do it when I absolutely have to, i.e., don't have my iBook with me.
