Again you miss the point - some people can not have musical devices with
them. A mono version would (1) trim file size and (2) sound good on the
Newton's mono speaker. It's got purpose. It's not going to replace your
CDs, but it *is* a way for people who do not normally get to listen to
music listen to it - be it not duplex stero. I'd pay for a Newton MP3
player. I want it that much.
