The Interconnect port has two serial ports, line in and line out, power,
and battery stuff as well. It is an _incredibly_ useful port, and had the
Newton not been cancelled when it was, I am sure we would've seen some
really cool toys that plugged in there...
Also, people have done home-brew modifications that included miniDIN 8/9
connectors on that little square next to the Interconnect port. but that
involves soldering...
