This is true - you can get fairly small ones at either RadioShack or
CompUSA, but they are really expensive ($100-150USD).
If you don't mind a larger size, you can buy the same thing - they're called
power inverters - at just about any truck stop along the interstate.
Truckers love them to run their televisions, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.
Expect to spend $60-80.
