I can be dead wrong here (it's been a while since me and Frank tested this)
but as far as I remember, the 2.1 Newtons only need the add on packages to
connect through ethernet and this can be done with either NIE 1.1 or NIE
2.0.
Newtons that run on system 2.0 (Frank tried it on his 130, can't get closer
to a 2000 than that) won't connect through ethernet, he tried it a lot of
different ways.
The solution I gave yesterday was just to get the ethernet add ons in
Steve's 2.1 Newton through a 2.0 Newton.
Hope I'm clear this time, didn't mean to get anybody's hopes up ;-)
