NTLK Re: HELP: Scratchy writing

Ah, the squiggles. I have nothing to report but despair.

On my (admitted different) 2.0 120, cleaning physical gunk hasn't
helped, neither has cleaning the system soups, backing up and restoring
everything but system soups after a brain wipe, SBM utilities, paying
Apple to replace the screen, cooling the unit or cursing. For a while I
had a super-delux technician's tech support account with apple, and I'd
call them every so often about this:

Zip Nada Nilch Nothing
No help at all whatsoever.

Doing the above things generally doesn't hurt, though when you back up
the unit, brain wipe the newton, and restore all but the system data,
some third party apps loose their serialization. Cleaning the physical
gunk doesn't hurt, either, as long as you're careful. And if you don't
have SBM utilities, you should get it.

My advice: soft reboot.
