Adam Tow's "newtToDo" (shareware $19.95 from www.tow.com, with a timed
nag warning after a time limit) is a replacement for to-do will let you
add notes (including outlines/checklists) and also supports folders.
It can read in existing to-dos but I'm nto sure if it uses the same data
soup or it's own so I don't know how well it interacts with the to-do's
in dates. I haven't had time to read the docs on it fully and now my
trial period has expired.

If there's something else that just adds notes to the existing to-dos in
Dates, though, without a whole lot of other stuff I'd be interested (I'm
not interested in things like DateMan; I found them too buggy/flaky).
I've been playing with a Palm IIIx and that and the ability to have
folders for to-dos is one of the things I like about it's to-do list a
LOT. I've taken to using the Palm for my to-do list instead of my Newt,
I'm afraid....
