I have been blessed with an almost brand new UMP2K--hardly used at
all. It's beautiful. I would love to take my present UMP2K and simply
place all of its contents into the new one. Is it a matter of making
a backup with NCU and restoring the new Newt with the backup from the
other? Is that possible?

Thanks for any help, Newton folks.

Yup! That's the obvious choice unless of course you have a spare Card (4 MB and bigger). Card backup and restores are faster and more reliable. Take this chance to clean up any errant Soups by unchecking them before restores.
