Not a gender changer, rather a null modem adapter. They're different. My
hookup looked something like this:
(to Newton) 8pin ------ 25pin - Null Modem - 25pin ------- 25pin
miniDIN D-Sub Adapter box D-Sub (to PC)
Basicially, I had a box connecting a Mac modem cable and a 25pin
straight-through cable.
