I have to correct myself. I found that there's no system version number logos above SMSNokia 0.2 program on Planet Newton. That must be why I have believed it to work with NOS 1.3.
If somebody could, please inform Planet Newton to correct that.

You can some simple terminal program to send SMS messages. Command AT*C gets you to them SMS interpreter of Nokia Cellular Data Card.
And I believe that some earlier version of the programs you mentioned works under NOS 1.3 I'm too busy right now to find it for you but I know I saw one.
