I've gotta run so won't have time to answer this in complete (and correct)
detail, but here goes...

Auto Login preference

btw, you have looked at/tried the Schedule command in bookmarks or caches??

Autolink pref under Schedule
lets you automatically load one level of links. use with caution.
(newer version 2.0w-2 allows: None,1,2,3 -- even more caution)

if it's really annoying you, you can turn on the "I Paid" checkbox
(in anticipation of your registration)

later versions not yet available to general public. I just need to
recompile with the expiration code included, and update the docs a little,
but want the version to be a little more stable first (and need some spare
time). for now, r-2 should give you a reasonably good taste of 98% of the
feature set of Newt's Cape.

I hope my couple of pointers help.
I can provide a longer answer tomorrow if you've still got questions.
