NTLK Newton case (under pressure)

I have a basic leather newton case, just a camshell
type thing the newton logo embosses on the front. On
the inside it has a sewn in flap for a business card and
the inside of this flap there are many little pockets PC
Card sized. A small tag inside says its 100% leather.

On to my question, when the case is orientated wiht
the Newton logo upright and the Newton is placed
inside it and it is zipped there is a very large pressure
on the part of the hinged flap screen cover that raises
up slightly. This hinge broke recently and I feel the
case s to blame. When the newotn has been in there
the flap dosnt want to move when openened.

Any suggestions or possible words of advice
from someone who may have this case?
