I would never immerse my Newt into something. May be alcohol but also
only after I've done a complete and working backup and did unpower
everything especially the supercap. But even so, one will have to let it
drying for many hours in order to be sure that all conductive liquids
disappear from the LCD contacts. However, the risk of killing the Newt
is very high.
