These are diferent topics.
The models listed in the newer article have all been discontinued being
manufactured like the atricle you mention but like any manufacturer they also
kept stock or supply of parts to repair the items. Like getting parts at a
car dealer. But when your car becomes a classic you only can go to a third
party dealer.
I think what I am saying is that for the mean time Apple still will be
repairing Newtons. If Newton was on this new list we most likely would lose
that option.
