John,

Each of the book types you mention are created by different programs.
One being Newton Press, the other being uh...I forget...paperback?

With Newton Press, you can do all sorts of neat things - embed
NewtonScript, put in pictures, have indexes, etc. I forget the whole
feature list. But it takes work.

Paperback (I think that's the name of the program) takes a text
document and creates a book for it. It's a self-contained app.

Hope this helps.

Oh, and if you like books on your Newton visit
http://sunsite.berkeley.edu/alex/. You can get lots of books - and
one of the options is for the Newton!

Subject: NTLK Newton Book formats...

As far as I can tell, there are (at least) two Newton Book formats.
One
is in a small window (on my MP2100), and has no prefs for changing
fonts
or anything. The other is full-screen on my Newt, and has options for
changing font face and size. My question is this: What is the
difference
between the two, and can I make the latter with Newton Press? And what
exactly does Newton Book Maker do versus Newton Press? Your answers
are
greatly appreciated!

Keep on newtin'
John
