NTLK Re: FileMaker Pro for Newton?

Ed:

Yes, the product Leverage produced by Balcones software is documented as
supporting file transfers between Leverage and the Newton.

Balcones is on the web, still in business doing other things I suppose.
They will respond to you, and you can still buy Leverage, which is now
up to version 3.1. This is a fine product, very useful.

Then manual spends a lot of time discussing the fundamental differences
in the approach of database design in Leverage, and in FileMaker. There
are services in Leverage for moving databases to and from the Newton.
However, the "ideal" synchronization of files on the two systems is not
well supported, due in no small part to the idiosyncrasies of the two
products. Little wonder.

Even so, in the reality of today, Leverage may be the best solution to
what you are seeking.

Regards,

Richard DAVIS.
