That error is supposed to mean that the pc card slot(s) are not working, that's why the error shows up even though there's no card(s) installed.
There is still a chance that a pkg. is messing with your Newt.
Reset with nothing activated, if that error still shows up then I would suggest sending it to either Dr. Newton or AppleRepair.
