This was extremely sad news for me. I have always used Couch Fire as my
demo program to show people just how cool the Newton is. I have interested
several jealous Palm owners with it. I certainly hope Lee can get his palm
port working. It's too great a program to let die.
However, if you are a TV addict like myself, and you used Couch Fire a lot,
you might want to consider getting a ReplayTV <http://www.replaytv.com>.
It's a replacement for a VCR that is essentially a computer. It uses a Hard
drive, instead of tapes, and is phenomenal. And, what makes it appropriate
to mention here... It mimics all of Couch Fires functionality. :-)
Of course, it's a bit more expensive then your average vcr, but well worth
it.

P.S. Despite all that, when Lee restarts supplying subscriptions, I will
continue mine until I don't have a PDA anymore.
