With judicious and consistent use of names, the built-in Find and
Intelligent Assist are a good substitute for linking. If you always write
the first and last names of people, and in the notepad, change note titles
to peoples' names (or add their name) and also title to-do's correctly,
(ie, " call Jane Doe") you can duplicate a lot of the function of linking,
and can even go one better, with the "call" assist routine. Not only that,
but the "linking" occurs on the fly just by writing the full name. :-)
TimeTrax includes a built-in "Assist" button which I find convenient. I
wish I hadn't upgraded to AN 4, or I would have bought this instead. :-)

I try to take full advantage of the IA in Newton, and find it to be one of
Newton's most powerful features, and worth learning how to exploit.
(Sample tip: In a real long note you want to print, simply tap Assist and
write "print" or tap on the "Please" and choose it from the list--much
faster and easier than scrolling to the top, and you don't have to scroll
back down when done.)
