Newton / Mac owners !

I have available for sale a number of brand new "still in the box" Wireless
adapters built for the Newton. They are 900 MHz Direct Sequence Spread
Spectrum devices ( not 802.11 which is 2.4 Gig. ).

I believe they can also be used to wirelessly connect Mac's and Printers
other devices ? ) that have a LocalTalk port.

I am a former employee of the defunct Newton licensee, "Digital Ocean". I
purchased these at the auction that occurred 2 years ago. Digital Ocean
closed its doors in October 1997.

The device is called the "100MP". It was designed and built by Digital Ocean
for use with the OMP through MP130. It operates off of its own 5 "AA" cell
rechargeable battery pack ( removable ). The AC adapter to run the unit /
recharge the pack is also included as well as all documentation and setup
software. Again, these units are brand new, still in the box. They are the
same dark green color as the Newton. They are the same width as a 130, same
thickness, about a 1/4" shorter ( top clip removed ).

For additional Digital Ocean info, see :

If you are on a network with a MacIP server, you should be able to configure
a MP2x00 and NIE to access the web through this wireless link. Please note
that the 100MP was not designed for the MP2x00 physical form factor ( the
Mini-DIN 8 serial cable being only about 1 1/2" long and on the lower right
side ). Velcro could be used to attach a MP2x00. Of course you would need
the Dongle and a cable to connect it.
The earlier Newton's attached to this handheld platform using removable
clips.

I am selling these NEW 100MP's for $100.00 each plus shipping. When Digital
Ocean was still in business, they where sold for $699.00.

It's "first come, first served". No warranty / No returns.
Because I am not a Mac user. I can't answer your technical questions. I do
know that the 100MP was built as the 100MP, 100MPS, 100MPS+ and 100 MPS II.
All 4 models look exactly the same. They connect to the LocalTalk port
cable included ). The manual states that the 100MPS+ requires a PhoneNet
cable to connect to your Mac.

Quantities available :
100MPS 11
100MPS + 10
100MP 6
100MPS II 4
