I have a 3Com Megahertz model 3CXE589ET with a pop-out RJ45 connector
(like my Megahertz CruiseCard analog modem) which works fine in the
Newton, with the driver installed (obtained from Victor's site.) I
purchased this on eBay, new, for around $35 IIRC.
