NTLK Lithion Ion Rechargeable Batteries

I noticed in Oz's posting about batteries that he is
working with/trying to find alternative battery
suppliers to the dwindling supply of Apple branded
ones. Does anyone think it would be possible for a
battery manufacturer to make a Lithium Ion
rechargeable pack to replace the Nickel Metal Hydride
one for the MP2x00? Or do Lithium Ions require a
different charging current or mechanism (I obviously
am not an engineer)?

I think most of us would be interested in such a
beast, and we'd probably be willing to pay big bucks
for it. Am I right?

Doug
