I've got a hard-to-find one! My boss at a place I used to work went to
an Apple Developers conference that I didn't get to go to (may have been
a marketing conference, though). They had a a Newton party one night.
The name badges they gave you at the door were shaped like like Newtons;
you wrote your name on the "screen", of course. In one corner was a
little blinking LED powered by a battery behind the badge (sort of like
the Logitech optical mice boxes have on them, or one of the Pink Floyd
CD's did.). He gave it to me when he got back
Sorta reminds me of that Saturday Night Live spoof with the "post it
note" sized Newtons. (Post It Newts?)
Also got a plastic notepad/addressbook/calendar mocked up to look like a
PDA (well, really like the Newton but they don't say that).
Got some Newton stickers and buttons and even a long sleeve t-shirt with
Newton stuff and a plor shirt with Newton Developers conference logo on
it. And a zillion different Newton styluses.
(Not to mention an OMP, MP 130, 2000 and 2100 - the best Newton
collectibles!)
Maybe we should start a "gallery" of Newton tchotchkes? Even a price
guide? ;-) I'll host it on Info-Newt if people want to send me JPEG
pictures of the items. Whatcha think? Good idea?
