Yeah, thanks to you and others for pointing it out!

Now my problem is with the modem I have... it's an external, serial
modem, and can be flaky with my Mac... especially when running under
linux. If the modem isn't on when linux boots up, I don't get anything
from the modem. That seems to be what's happening on my Newt (a 120)...
I'm almost 100% certain it's the modem, because I've had this kind of
problem before.

Does anyone know of any fixes for this sort of thing? The modem is a 33.6
USR Sportster, originally manufactured for the PC.
