Just my .02 on this subject:

Being a form Community Leader for AOL, I can say that as soon as Mac AOL 5
hits platinum (final edition, out of beta) 2.7 will be on it's way out and
3.0's client will need to be reverse engineered to be supported (anyone who
can hack Palm software and gets one of those older AOL-Palm eMail reading
apps could reverse engineer it)... If someone is up to this, it could bring
more users back to Newton or to AOL. But I still thought Aloha wasn't that
great... I left AOL and use SimpleMail and think SimpleMail had more
features than Aloha (size checking and skipping, leaving mail on server,
etc).
