i'm waiting for the Linux/Transmeta based web-tablet/slates..
http://www.ideo.com/studies/transmeta.htm
they offer everything that i personally want.. color, apps, development
environment, portablilty, long battery life..

the main issue for myself is... HWR.. will the devs learn from the past
attempts at HWR, and learn from the problems that past HWR has presented,
and develop HWR with that in mind? this is the only thing that is
questionable.. i am not expecting a "Linux-Rosetta / Grafitti".. just a
intelligently thought out HWR..

it's the only thing that i think that can assume the place of my 2100.. i am
also waiting on the Samsung YOPY..
http://www.sem.samsung.co.kr/eng/product/digital/pda/index.htm but, for me,
it's too WinCE in it's overall design.. bascially it's a PocketPC that has
linux running on it.. (Samsung got a dose of MS-branded reality, and bugged
out..)

wince sucks.. anyway you shake it.. it's so bad they had to give it a new
image..

palm is a fine organizer.. and, that's all.. for anything else, it's
glaringly inept.. it makes a really cool bicycle computer, though..
http://www.bikebrain.com/ pretty damn cool.. almost justifies a palm
purchase....
