OK, AMD and Intel flash RAM utilities for formatting and doing some
low-level checking of RAM cards from Win95/DOS machines are available.

These Win95-specific files and drivers let you format and diagnose Intel
chipset flash RAM cards. These files are available from the various
manufacturers but since both have since been bought out by a new company it
took a little digging to get them.

I have used the Intel util, but have had no way to check the AMD utility
since I don't own any AMD cards.

Anonymous ftp to:

bmcewen.cvm.okstate.edu and find them in /pub/Newton.

If you use Netscape to retrieve the files, you will need to use a trailing
slash
i.e. ftp://bmcewen.cvm.okstate.edu/

Please use a real ftp client if you have the option :) so I don't get
emails from people who transferred binary files as text by mistake...the
default login paths also don't work quite right in Netscape and you'll have
to click around a little.

Brian
