The Pippin was a kind of low-cost (at least for apple at the time) computer
that looked more like a video game console than a PC or Mac. It didn't have
a hard disk or floppy, and ran from CDROMs.

I remember seeing one on display at a local electronics store when I lived
in Japan, but I kind of doubt that they sold any. It wasn't, if you ask me,
a particularly good idea.
