I might be wrong, but as I understand the Palm, you have Conduits that
act as micromanagers for the data they deal with. Seems to make it a
little more modular, though the list of conduits you end up with can be
burdensome...

(BTW: I'm new here, and I'm looking at getting back into the Newton
Community. Had one ages ago (MP100), and I'm looking at getting a 2100. I
also have an IBM WorkPad c3 (rebranded Palm Vx) and it in no way compares
with the ease of the Newton, except in memory... But it's already crashed
twice in the past three weeks. Had to restore from backup both times...)
