NTLK Groupchat possible with NewtJab?

Is it possible to use NewtJab with groupchat like IRC? I've used the
WinJab and Jabbernaut (Mac) clients to connect to IRC chats, but
can't figure out how to configure NewtJab. Any help or pointers
would be appreciated.

(Personal observation: is it just me, or does it seem that the lack
of readable documentation (for an average user) may be the factor
that prevents open-source projects from becoming mainstream?)
