That's odd. Usually there's a link. Oh well - all I did was click the
"Download" link in the navigation graphics at the top of the page, and
search for "newton and hp" and found:

http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n11200

>Speaking of which, any pointers to something like "GDT Printer drivers"?

I believe that's the Newton Print Pack (I think GDT made the driver
and/or the cable that some of the drivers need -- a serial to parallel
adapter). But some of the drivers don't require it.

You can find it the same way I found the HP stuff. Search the Search
Apple Software Updates for "newton and hp".

http://asu.info.apple.com/

Here they are:

Mac: http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n10714

Windows: http://asu.info.apple.com/swupdates.nsf/artnum/n10715

Might be useful to search both the Tech Info Library and the Software
Updates pages for "Newton" and "eMate". Also search their Manuals area:

http://www.info.apple.com/manuals/manuals.taf

there are lots of Newotn manuals available in PDF format. These are
links that every Newton owner should have bookmarked. Also their Newton
tech support message boards:
