1) Take your card out.
2) Open the preferences box
3) Insert flash card. You should get the option to erase the card.
Inserting a card with Prefs open always gives you the option to erase the
card. It sounds to me that you have lost the data on this card. You've
surely learned the lesson on the importance of backups the hard way. Sorry.
But at least you will be able to re-claim the 24MB card.
