The -61000 error range is assigned to the Lantern DDK. I don't have
that with me, so I can't tell you what it means.

Go into prefs and double-check your AppleTalk settings. Make sure
that your "Connect using" is set to EtherTalk, and the "Card" is set
to Farallon Enet PC Card.

If they are, I'm not sure offhand of what's wrong.
