Did you get any error msg while installing QFexchange on your Mac? I
remember that V3.1 had an error in the installer script and it was necessary
to rename a folder (msg was like: Folder "name" was missing... or so).
For successful worksheet transfer do you have to bring both, the Newton and
the Mac into receive, respectively send mode (Both differently, depending on
the transfer direction :-). If your network connection via Ethernet worked
just before with e.g. NCU, NTK, X-port or NPL it simply must work with
QFexchange too. In QF4 the Excel-macro installer error has been corrected.
However, either the Newton or the Mac get a timeout if they can't find a
receiver/sender for the data transfer after some mins.
