Mark,

eBase is an autopart for Newton Works (only available on the eMate and as
an option on the MP2x00). In other words you need an OS 2.1 machine with
NewtonWorks installed. eBase gets installed in "Extensions" and is
therefore not visible or usable like an ordinary app. Then, when you open
NewtWorks and tap [new] you have the option of the eBase Database
"stationary". There you can either use a predefined database (for possible
use in schools) or create your own fields etc. The interface of eBase is
pretty much like a stripped-down version of FileMaker.

Victor Rehorst will probably have the ReadMe file that came with the DEMO
version up on UNNA with the next update. This ReadMe explains the basics in
a little more detail of what eBase (both Demo and full version) can do. If
you need the ReadMe right away, eMail me off-list.

If you don't have an OS 2.1 machine, you may want to give Bee-one a try.
Read the documentation first before you install it. It might not do what
you're looking for. The detailed Bee-one documentation (sit archive of the
HTML files) _IS_ up on UNNA.
