I just fixed one that did essentially the same thing. Unfortunately I didn't
find the exact cause. I used the brute force method of disassembling it and
touching up the solder joints. It's working fine now.

Subject: [NTLK] 130mp not working

I have a 130mp that is not working when it starts up. It will run for a
short time, it goes through its start up and then it will lock up for a
second or 2 and then die. It gets a line down the screen when it turns off.
It is not a software problem because it has had a full reset.
It does it with good batteries and power plugged in.
