[NTLK] iPaq FUN

Hi List,

just a nice one I wanted to share:
A friend of mine has a color iPaq and got himself the super-expensive
"compact-flash-jacket" (original Compaq) for it, along with an equally
expensive 128MB compact-flash-card (third party).
No manuals enclosed, somehow.

He put the card in the jacket and then attached the jacket to the iPaq.
The jacket gets recognized just fine, but the card does not.
Uhm, maybe the card does not sit properly, let's try reseating it.

Whoops.
Whoooops.

J:"Oliver, do you know how to get a card out of its slot?"
O:"Sure, you just press the button, twice."
J:"What button?"

Nothing to eject the card from the jacket.
And the card is too slippy to pull it out again.

Now just imagine five people in a Pub, tearing and swearing at a piece of
high-tech, breaking many fingernails, with no result but "try some tweezers
at home".

So, after many many years, non-Newton-PDAs have finally reached a state
where you can say that they are equally powerful in comparison, just looking
at the processing speed, etc.
I guess in another three years, the designers of those devices will also
include some of the very basic human interface necessities, rendering them
usable in some way.

Oliver :)
