Actually, it doesn't turn it into a French machine.
Everything is in English except a couple of things that can easily be
localized (such as dates and so on). Although I read somewhere that
Apple did produce some French MP2100 units.
Paragraph HWR is still in English (i.e. it doesn't recognize
accents), which is one of the big difference between the MP2100-D and
the MP2x00 US.
