Hello William,

If you're into Packet, you could I'm sure rig a cable from the serial-port
on the Newt into your favourite TNC - or for real convenience, that Kenwood
handie with the built-in TNC. Then a terminal package on the Newt like
PT100 would be all you need for foot-mobile packet.

I've come across a morse code program, it's very simplistic, but you can get
your Newt to send CW in a couple different speeds. It's called MorsePad, by
Len Kawamoto N6TQL.

Another package I keep on my Newt is called Electrohelp, by Paul B Jones.
It's an older one made for MP1xx but still works on the MP2100. It is a
reference for everything from resistor colour codes to Ohm's Law to a handy
wavelength / frequency calculator, you just enter either the frequency or
the wavelength (either feet or meters) and it will tell you the other
number.

I haven't come across any other Ham-related Newt software yet.

I've been learning NTK in my scarce free time, when I get the chance I might
try and come up withs ome Newt/Ham software. A logging program would be
keen. I've also been thinking about something to assist in RDFing, one of
my passions.
