As I'm sure many folks may have told you, the instructions for unsubscribing
are at the bottom of each and every message you receive (see the three lines
above in the quoted material, or the last three lines of this message). The
NewtonTalk list has been reborn on a new server (after the old one died) and
all those who had previously been subscribed (I'm not sure what the
boundaries were on this) were automatically subscribed to the reborn list.
So, I can only assume you were once subscribed and later unsubscribed, but
this wasn't captured in the database used for the new list. Simply follow
the provide unsubscribe instructions and you should be off the list.
