[NTLK] How to: make an international English MP2x00 <deutsch>?

Hi!

I'm willing to go for a better Newton (at least, I think it would be
better), like an MP2k. But they are hard to get, and usually too expensive
here in Germany. So I thought about getting one from overseas or wherever,
and then changing whatever necessary to make it (i.e. the system and the
Apps) look & feel German as much as possible.
It should be possible via ROM Update, or so I hope. I heard that even the
eMates (never planned for Germany, shame) can be "Germanized" -- even
harder, since you have to change the keyboard layout!

I looked into the FAQ (in fact it was one of them,
<http://members.aol.com/thisolnewt/FAQ/newton-faq-nos.html> to be exact) and
didn't find a definitive answer to that.
OK, there are English updates, and there are German ones, and I guess they
don't mix (do they?), but I think the MP2000 wasn't available in German (at
all or at least initially), so I guess at least the MP2000 could be
"Germanized"...?

I hope somebody can straighten this up for me, or else I might be dreaming
of an MP2k infinitely...

Thanks Y'all!

Felix

But the shows are bad because that's what people want. It's not like
Windows users don't have any power. I think they are happy with Windows,
and that's an incredibly depressing thought."
