I remembered and found this link below, in an old post on the NewtonTalk archive.

It is for a beta driver that works with the "MELCO WLI-PCM-L11" 802.11b card.
In the post Mark says that the guy sent him a copy that works with the
Lucent 802.11b chipset.
A.K.A. the ORINCO WaveLAN Silver or Bronze cards.
This might not let you connect more than one Newton to one Mac (in "Ad
Hoc" mode), but it's better than wires!
