In a previous message, Frank Gruendel typed vigorously:

Quinn's Big List of Wrong Names for the Command Key
<http://www.quinn.echidna.id.au/Quinn/WWW/OtherBits.html>
The key on the Macintosh keyboard that is labelled with a little
cloverleaf symbol that also appears in the menus is called the "command
key". Over the years I've heard an amazing number of wrong names for
this. Here's my collection:
* Apple key
* open Apple key
* squiggle key
* cloverleaf key
* clover key
* four leaf clover key
* propellor key
* propellor beanie key
* beanie key
* splat key
* flower key (that way reset becomes command-flower-power :-)
* curly key
* fan key
* daisy key
* snowflake key
* butterfly key
* doily key
* pretzel key
* cauliflower key
* faucet handle key
* freeway interchange key
* freeway exchange key
* the control key that isn't the control key
* casino key (because it looks like the Hobart casino logo)
* quadrielle key (possibly the most technically correct name)
* the Apple Engineered Customer Confusion key
* puppyfoot key (don't ask me, I just write them down!)
* quincunx
* four heads sitting at a table key
* Cross of St John, see symbols.com for details
* "Key with the apple symbol on it next to the space bar...yeah that one"
