Problem is, one package usually recognizes one type of card, that is, the
product string reported by a card that is inserted in the Newton. If many
cards report the same product string, then they are all supported by the
same driver. I know from Paul Guyot that he was at some point working with
Victor to come up with a "universal" driver, but I don't know what were the
specifics. Somebody might be able to come up with a piece of code that would
read the product string upon card insertion and then forward that to the
universal driver that would then be able to report being able to drive the
card, but I'm not sure about all of this...

coaster n.: 1. Unuseable CD produced during failed attempt at writing to writeable or re-writeable CD media. Certainly related to the coaster-like shape of a CD, and the relative value of these failures. "I made a lot of coasters before I got a good CD." 2. Useless CDs received in the mail from the likes of AOL, MSN, CI$, Prodigy, ad nauseam.
