Lots of posts about OT stuff, and then this one have finally driven me
to make this case in public... Adding Reply-To: headers to a mailing
list is completely suboptimal. I'd go on about it at length, but will
simply point interested parties at this page, which makes the case against
Reply-To dwinking much better than I could.

Look especially at the "Principle of Least Surprise" and "Principle of
Least Damage" sections. "Principle of Least Work" probably also applies;
I, for one, have run into having to do annoying cut'n'pastes to reply just
to the author of a post, when a non-munged list wouldn't basically override
what my 'reply' command should sanely do.
