You don't need a lot of system enhancements to make the Newton really
useful. For instance, I've had a Newton since 1993 and I've heard literally
for years that the Dates and Names applications are too basic. A lot of
people have been using MoreInfo, others ActionNames, TimeTrax and the likes.
Well, I'm still using the Dates and Names applications like they are
provided. The only extension I use with the Names is "NameHack", which uses
the full screen of a 2x00 when you switch the view to overview.

In term of system wide extensions, the only things I'm using are "SleepAid",
so that I can have a different sleep and backlight delay when I'm connected
or using the batteries, "AppMan", so that I can switch to any opened
application and "'61 Memory Fix". That's it. And I've been a very happy
camper since 1993.

bozotic /boh-zoh'tik/ or /boh-zo'tik/ adj.: [from the name of a TV clown even more losing than Ronald McDonald] Resembling or having the quality of a bozo; that is, clownish, ludicrously wrong, unintentionally humorous. Compare wonky, demented. Note that the noun `bozo' occurs in slang, but the mainstream adjectival form would be `bozo-like' or (in New England) `bozoish'.
