I think what worked for a lot of folks was to switch the Encoding preference
to "Raw".

btw, the new version 3.3a3 is almost ready.
unless I run into major surprises during testing, I hope to post it later on
Monday. (there's a preview description of most of the changes but there will
also be a few surprises not yet listed).
