The DCF-650W has power consumption of 17mA in sleep mode and less than
380mA in transmission mode. The SMC-2632W doesn't mention sleep mode
power consumption. Its receive mode consumption is similar to the CF card
at 360mA, but its transmission mode number is quiet a bit higher at
480mA. It might just be worth the slight extra cost if it lengthens the
operational time. Does anyone happen to know what the nominal power
consumption of an Apple Airport card is? I couldn't locate any specific
card specs in the Apple knowledgebase.

Of course the point is moot until we have access to functional drivers.
