I have been using ACT! for the Mac and Newton for years. It is a very
powerful contact manager but the Mac version was never updated as
extensively as the PC version and the Mac/Newton version ultimately
abandoned by Symantec and then the program sold to . . . ? I still
maintain a data base on my Newton and G 4 however I have not been
able to synchronize the Newton with my G 4 using ACT! or NCU via
serial or ethernet. However, I can with a 7100 running system 8.6 (I
think). I am not sure what the problem is with the G 4 to Newton
connection via ACT!
Symantec does not sell ACT! any longer and the company that does is clueless.
My advice is to find something else but i have no suggestions for the
Newton, unfortunatly. Anyone else?
Cheers,
Martin
